I have been taught by many great people in my professional journey at HSDM, but rarely have I been influenced and inspired by someone so exceptional as my mentor and my role model, Dr. Mary Tavares.  

I will not go on and narrate a story about how sincere and unique this person is, but I will admit that no one has influenced me, nourished me, guided me, and abundantly stood by me like her.  She understands, she truly cares, and she is always there for me when I needed her.
